Frame built in May 2016

“I have been a customer of George Voyatzis since the early 1980s and have purchase several handmade Fidusa bikes since that time. My most recent 29er is my fourth handmade Fidusa”.
Stathis is a bike rider but is also involved in other sports. He knows from previous builds that we can produce a frame to his exact specification so he naturally came to us when he wanted a special 29er Cro-Moly mountain bike.
Tubing choice was Columbus steel with a 37mm downtube, 31.7mm toptube and a 28.6mm external butted seat tube to take a 27.2mm seatpost. Rear dropouts were sourced from Paragon Machine Works in California for SRAM 11-speed drivetrain with 142mm 12mm thru-axle.
Special care was required in the construction of the rear triangle to enable the shortest possible chainstay length of 42cm but with necessary clearances for a 29 x 2.3” tyre and a single crank.
Frame colour was a custom mixed Metal Cypress Green embossed with a custom logo of Stathis’ design.
